This role will be part of the Australian Energy team within Natural Resources, Energy & Carbon ("NREC"). The NREC business provides relationship management to corporate clients, capital solutions, risk management and transaction banking to clients in the Natural Resources and Energy sectors including ASX listed corporates, institutional investors, and renewable energy developers. The Energy team is responsible for the relationship management of clients in the energy sector, as well as project financing of renewable energy projects and asset management of these projects.

You will contribute to achieving the team's core purpose by playing a leading role to act as trusted advisor for the client through the demonstration of deep industry expertise as well as innovative deal structuring to deliver optimal financial outcomes..
Key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and own relationships with Treasury executives to enable the capture of first mover opportunities with clients across the CBA product suite
- Executing Project Finance transactions and structuring bespoke financing solutions to meet a clients' objectives.
- Leading the review, structuring and negotiation of legal documentation to achieve optimal balance between client objective and the bank's risk parameters.
- Work in partnership with internal product partners and credit risk to ensure the client strategy is consistent with the overall IB&M business proposition
- Provide support to the team's senior bankers in covering and servicing the needs of our clients including their operational requirements and enquiries
- Create and update relevant client and deal information in Pulse including pipeline deals, call report, client contact details
- Support the preparation and submission of documents seeking business and credit approval for transactions and contribute/advise on the reviewing and sign off of documentation on deals
We're interested in hearing from people who
Are committed candidates, seeking to build on a strong foundation developed in institutional banking, project finance or a similar role within the renewable energy industry. Further, you'll bring;
- Strong Project Finance or Structured Finance experiences with track record of deal origination and execution.
- Understanding of the energy industry and the key drivers affecting the industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and debt structuring.
- Familiarity across product capabilities including corporate finance, project finance, debt capital markets, global markets and risk management, cash management and payments
- Experience in engaging and building credibility and strong relationships with clients and an ability to anticipate client requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline essential, post graduate qualification desirable
