About the role
- The Associate Director provides high level leadership in administration, teaching and research across the regional LHNs, including oversight of the delivery of outsourced acute Pharmacy Services across the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (FUNLHN). The successful applicant will play a large role in supporting medicine governance in the FUNLHN.
- The Associate Director works with the Director Pharmacy Services, Regional Services in providing an excellent and innovative service to patients of all of regional SA with the aim of optimising health outcomes by the quality use of pharmaceuticals and associated activities.
- The Associate Director will ensure services are in line with policies and procedures in accordance with hospital, state and national requirements, legislation and professional standards.
- The Associate Director provides high level leadership in the initiation, implementation and coordination of major state-wide and LHN-wide pharmacy projects.
- The pharmacy service is provided across multiple sites in FUNLHN, including Whyalla and Port Augusta and also provides services to the RFDS based in Port Augusta. The pharmacy team have a strong passion to improve health outcomes for the aboriginal communities in the FUNLHN.
- The Associate Director works closely with the University of South Australia (UniSA) supporting interprofessional learning with a UniSA campus based in Whyalla.

Essential Requirements:
Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Diploma of Pharmacy
- Post Graduate Qualification in pharmacy or related discipline
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
