The RoleOur
Urban Communities team is looking for a talented Associate Civil Engineer to coordinate and take the lead on project delivery, people management and client relationship management across multi-stage urban/land development projects in our Sunshine Coast office.With a minimum of 10 years' experience in a hands-on capacity, you will play a key role in:
- Providing advice and demonstrating strong technical skills producing engineering design for projects and design packages
- Feasibility, concept design and project delivery of civil projects
- Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
- Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals
- Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables
- Mentoring and assisting with the professional development of junior engineers and designers
About You- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 10 + years civil engineering experience, working for an engineering design consultancy
- Chartership
- Excellent civil design knowledge, with previous experience working on urban/land development projects
- Knowledge and experience in the use of relevant civil software packages - Civil 12D, AutoCAD, Music & Drains etc.
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards
- Australian working rights
