The Role
We are looking for an Associate Environmental Scientist in Townsville to join our team! You will work closely with our Queensland/Northern Territory team to build a team in Townsville and increase our environmental capabilities in Far North Queensland. We are a large multidisciplinary company with iconic projects across renewables, environmental studies, dam and hydropower, solar power projects, energy transition and inland rail.
Due to continued business growth and the award of new projects in the Townsville area we are seeking and Associate Environmental Scientist with a minimum of 7 years’ experience. You will assist in delivering complex environmental planning and assessment projects with key clients across Far North Queensland.
- A degree or post graduate degree in Environmental Science, Planning or Natural Resources Management
- 7+ years post graduate experience in an environment role, preferably with demonstrated experience in environmental impact assessments, preparation of management plans and approvals
- Experience in renewables, transport or water (ideally gaining within consultancy)
- Excellent reporting and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Strong technical aptitude and project management skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships
