ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Associate reporting to the Investment Director, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our business by:
1. Identifying and assessing promising investment opportunities.
2. Undertaking thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, deal structuring, and legal negotiations and;
3. Assisting portfolio companies, aiding in strategy formulation and operational enhancements.

POSITION DETAILS
Your primary responsibilities will encompass (but are not limited to):
- Driving the origination, assessment, negotiation, execution, management, and divestment of investments, focusing on partnership-style and lower mid-market buy-out transactions
- Conducting in-depth research to pinpoint compelling investment themes and sectors.
- Engaging in the cultivation and management of relationships with business proprietors, brokerage networks, and consultants.
- Creating and evaluating financial models and supporting the analysis of investment opportunities.
- Supporting the preparation of internal investment recommendation documents.
- Undertaking special projects with portfolio entities to enhance value, including advising the executive team (CEO, CFO, COO) on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Assisting with investor communication requirements, including liaising with middle and back-office support teams.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for candidates who possess:
- A friendly and collaborative demeanour conducive to a small team setting, with a proven ability to forge strong connections with business owners/entrepreneurs, advisors and a broker network.
- A bachelor's degree with a commendable academic track record, especially in analytics and corporate finance.
- Between 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory services, or private equity – healthcare experience will be well regarded.
- Exceptional skills in financial modelling and a solid grasp of core accounting principles.
- A thorough understanding of financial concepts and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in writing, with the capacity to clearly express opinions and compile coherent investment documentation.
- A highly organized, diligent, reliable, detail-oriented, and tenacious work ethic.
