One of the drivers “Thriving place to Study and Work” will enable us to continue to create places that our students and staff love to belong and feel immense pride.The OpportunityA new and exciting opportunity is available for an innovative and client focused individual to join the Campus Services team as Associate Director, Services.Reporting to the Director - Campus Services, you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplinary facilities professionals to deliver University-wide facilities management services, strategic planning and operations across all VU locations. This also includes:

• Developing strong and collaborative relationships with our stakeholders including our Colleges, Institutes, TAFE and Research etc.
• Implementation of a contemporary and agile services delivery model and metrics
• Collaboration with Procurement on the planning and execution of strategic procurement activities
• Management of significant budgets within directed parameters
• Oversight of supplier/contractor performance ensuring consistent delivery and value for money
• Key member of the Campus Services leadership team

This position be expected to be available to respond to out of hours matters including site attendance as required.About YouYou will have a proven track record in a similar role, combined with continuous improvement and client focus approach. Agility and innovation will also be critical to success in this role.

• A relevant qualification.
• Great communication skills with the ability to influence and liaise with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Experience in leading, managing, and shaping high performance teams.
• Strong knowledge of the technical elements required in the management and delivery of facilities management services (with emphasis on hard FM) across multiple locations
• Ability to lead a positive workplace culture through effective and inspiring leadership, communication, and engagement.
• Significant understanding of legislative, statutory and compliance requirements related to Facilities.
• Strong commercial aptitude including contractual negotiations and contract management.
