An excellent opportunity exists for a highly skilled and self-motivated Perioperative Registered Nurse looking to continue developing management skills as part of an already motivated and achieving Perioperative Management team at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. It is a full-time or part-time position.ABOUT THE ROLE As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager:
- You will facilitate the smooth operation of the Perioperative Services Department with a can-do attitude and strong customer service focus;
- Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards;
- Provide a support role to all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical area.;
- You will provide leadership and direction to the department to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the unit and hospital;
- Your positive attitude, ability to prioritise, delegate and adapt, along with your excellent time management skills are all of critical importance for this role;
- Drive positive improvement in a key portfolio of your interest, reporting to measureable KPI targets.
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of clinical Perioperative Scrub/ Circulating Nurse experience;
- Experience in anaesthetics / PACU will also be highly regarded;
- Sound knowledge of the ACORN Professional Standards;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously;
- Ability to ensure excellence in customer service;
- Advanced problem-solving skills and negotiation skills with the ability to think critically and prioritize workloads;
- Strong desire to successfully enhance team performance and experience;
- Perioperative Post graduate qualification (desirable).
