Acute Care are looking for their next Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join their busy and rewarding team.
About the Role:
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, your duties may include:
- Ensuring the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Service and strategic plans.
- Providing proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and individual case management to patients in a defined clinical area
- Monitoring patient care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis
- Provide shift by shift leadership in the provision of nursing/ care within a team or unit and facilitate patient flow;
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in day-to-day ward management and delegated tasks;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate
- At least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
- Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
