We would like to hear from Lawyers from 3-7 years PQE with a passion for leasing, who are interested joining a high performing team in a permanent role. This varied role will combine leasing, capital transactions and general property work.
We are seeking candidates with confidence, enthusiasm, attention to detail and drive to add to our team of experienced lawyers and paralegals. You will join our award winning team working with Partners Peter Mitchell and Max Cameron and their teams of highly accomplished lawyers and paralegals.
You will have a passion for property law. The role combines leasing, capital transactions and general property work and gives the opportunity to be mentored and trained by our most respected and accomplished Partners and their highly competent teams.
Peter and Max have deep relationships across the real estate industry and their teams look after the full remit of leasing for significant clients including Abacus, Brookfield, CBA. Cromwell, Dexus, Goodman, GPT, Lendlease, Mirvac, Stockland, CBA, Woolworths and Vicinity Centres.
In these roles, you will be part of a large and supportive team of high performing lawyers and paralegals, with additional support from the legal support team. You will deal directly with our major clients daily to manage your own files.
Our Team
MinterEllison's Melbourne Real Estate team is led by Partners Peter Mitchell, Max Cameron, Carla Deluca, Anthony Poynton, and David Chin and provides comprehensive legal support to major institutional property investors, developers, landlords, retirement village operators, government agencies, contractors, financiers and tenants on all facets of commercial, industrial, and retail and residential property including due diligences, acquisitions, disposals, development, leasing and disputes. Our energetic and high profile team is proud to be working on iconic projects shaping the Melbourne landscape now and into the future.
What you need
We invite applications from property lawyers who possess:
- Expertise in commercial property law, with a special emphasis on landlord and tenant leasing of commercial, retail, and industrial real estate, or capital transactions.
- A comprehensive understanding of retail tenancy and/or sale of land legislation.
- Exceptional drafting and organisational capabilities, coupled with a strong adherence to process.
- A client-oriented approach, with a proven track record of building lasting relationships with peers, clients, and industry experts.
- An exceptional eye for detail.
- The capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively, with experience in sharing files and clients.
- The ambition to contribute to the leadership and expansion of a thriving, collaborative, high-volume practice.
- A keen interest in continuous process improvement, generating efficiencies through innovative practices and cutting-edge technology.
