In response to recent project victories and upcoming assignments, we are seeking to appoint an Associate Architect or Associate Principal Architect to join a prestigious architecture studio. The ideal candidate should currently hold a role at the Associate or Associate Principal/Senior Associate level, demonstrating a proven track record in managing multi-residential, high-rise, and commercial projects.
 

To excel in this role, candidates must have successfully led projects with a large team, overseeing the entire project and project lifecycle with support from a Director or Principal. This includes extensive experience managing projects from client engagement through to site handover. Demonstrated success in delivering projects within Australia, particularly in multi-residential, high-rise, or commercial sectors, is essential.

In the role as Associate or Associate Principal, we will require you to have the following skills and qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree is a minimum requirement
  • Master of Architecture & NSW Registration is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15+ years post graduate experience as a minimum
  • Current experience running large scale projects from $100 million +
  • Proven experience working on in large-scale projects such as multi-residential, commercial and mixed-use is a must.
  • A proficiency or familiarity with Revit software
  • Full working rights in Australia, such as Permanent Residency or Citizenship, are required.
  • Local experience working in an Australian Architectural practice
  • Project leadership - leading and managing architectural projects of varying scales and complexities, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule requirements. 
  • Design expertise - providing design direction and expertise, contributing innovative ideas and solutions that enhance project outcomes. 
  • Client engagement - Fostering strong client relationships by understanding their needs, presenting design solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Team & Leadership Collaboration - Leading & Collaborating effectively with project teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to integrate design concepts and technical considerations seamlessly. 
  • Quality Control - Overseeing quality control processes to maintain high standards of design excellence, technical accuracy, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources efficiently, including budget, schedule, and staffing requirements, to achieve project goals and profitability.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking activities to secure new projects and expand client relationships.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development within the firm.
