Principal Data Architect
Temporary opportunity up to 2 years with the possibility to be made permanent
Full-time salary range of $139,787 - $161,663 pa + super
Location flexible across NSW with flexible working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Architect to join the Solution Design team within Revenue NSW Digital.

In this role you will:
Develop and implement Data Architecture and solutions aligned with Revenue NSW data strategy.
Translate business requirements into data models that are easy to understand and used by different subject areas.
Design, implement and build data models and pipelines that deliver data with measurable quality.
Improve existing systems, including what areas have gaps that need to be filled, and have started working with the team and stakeholders to scope and prioritize solutions.
Manage stakeholder expectations through clear prioritisation and constant communication.
Evaluate vendor solutions.
Govern solution design implementation.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Must have computer science degree or equivalent experience in delivery of Data Architecture and design.
10+ years’ experience in architecting enterprise data solutions
In-depth experience in cloud architecture, preferably AWS
In depth experience in Data Architecture and design in large and complex data environments, for structured and unstructured data
Experience in delivering scalable and cost-effective enterprise data solutions.
In depth experience in data modelling and toolsets
Experience in all aspects of data management: data governance, data orchestration platforms, MDM, meta-data management, data taxonomies.
In-depth knowledge in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning
Experience with data security and compliance
Experience with solution architecture methodology, standards and practice - like UML, TOGAF, DMBOK.
Proficient in databases (advantageous to have graph database knowledge), SQL (and NoSQL approaches), and technologies such as Python, Redshift, AWS RDS, AWS Glue, Airflow, Kafka/Kinesis/SQS etc
Preferable to have:
Computer networking skills
TOGAF or equivalent certification
