About this role

We’re looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to be part of our market-leading Restructuring Advisory team in Sydney.

You will play a key advisory role on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency engagements for a diverse spectrum of corporate clients across different industries, liaising with external stakeholders (including business owners, investors and lenders) and designing innovative and commercial solutions to help our clients navigate and recover from adverse circumstances.

  • Assist with the trading of various businesses, including preparation of cash flow forecasts, calculating employee entitlements and overseeing supplier / customer accounts
  • Support complex investigations, including source and application of funds, forensic tracing exercises, voidable transactions and insolvent trading reviews
  • Contribute to the growth of less experienced team members and be involved in business development opportunities

Skills and experience

Required

  • Prior corporate restructuring and insolvency experience gained within an accounting / professional services environment
  • A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude to problem-solving, coupled with critical thinking skills
  • High degree of organisation and time management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and manage competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to learn and work as part of a collaborative team
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Desirable

  • Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)
  • CA / CPA certified, or currently studying

If you are interested in this role but don’t feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
