About the team:
Mathisha (Tish) Panagoda is a partner in the insurance team and works within Colin Biggers & Paisley's national Institutional Risk and Liability group. His practice is focussed on child safety, general liability and Special Issues managing civil and National Redress Scheme claims of historical child abuse and working with organisations to ensure robust child protection policies and procedures, manage investigations and provide strategic advice on a range of sensitive issues.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a supportive and high performing team. The role will require:
- Instrumental in managing an Abuse practice and carry a file load
- Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
- Assisting and mentoring junior lawyers with their development and case progression
- 5+ years' PQE
- Previous experience and a passion for Personal Injury, in particular, Abuse law
- Superior communication skills
- A calm and easy-going nature
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to handle sensitive issues and challenging issues
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
- Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
