Our Australian Dispute Resolution practice is best known for our work on large, complex litigation. Our strength is bringing together multi-disciplinary and, as appropriate, cross border teams that work seamlessly together to comprehensively respond to our clients' issues.
We are focused on financial institutions, infrastructure & construction, energy, mining, commodities, pharmaceutical & life sciences, technology & innovation and government disputes. We work across all classes of disputes including international arbitration, class actions, regulatory investigations, public inquiries and general commercial disputes in all Australian courts and tribunals.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate to join our Litigation practice, based in Melbourne. As a part of this high performing team you will gain exposure to a variety of contentious Federal and State tax and revenue matters including:
- Large and complex ATO compliance enquiries, including significant audits
- Significant tax cases in the Federal Court and AAT (including cases concerning Part IVA, transfer pricing, the capital/revenue distinction, capital gains, taxation of financial arrangement etc)
- Cases in the State Supreme Courts (including stamp duty and land tax cases)
- 2+ years PQE
- A strong desire to work on complex, high profile litigation matters
- Excellent written, drafting and verbal communication skills
