Based in Brisbane, our esteemed client, a leading real estate and development firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as an Associate - Development and Transactions.The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the origination, analysis, and management of property transactions and development opportunities, contributing to the firm's continued success in the real estate market.
Responsibilities:
- Originate and analyse new deal/acquisition opportunities, including building and managing a national database of agents and quality consultants.
- Maintain regular contact and relationships with the national database, as well as build and maintain a database of acquisition opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Model and conduct valuation analysis of all viable investment opportunities, including development feasibility models.
- Collaborate with the Director to pitch preferred opportunities to the board of directors and investment committee.
- Provide feedback and commentary on new leasing deals presented by Asset Managers, assessing their impact on asset performance.
- Monitor existing asset valuation models on a monthly basis.
- Assist with value-added schemes, such as development, leasing remix strategy, refurbishment, extensions, aesthetic upgrades, and pad sites.
- Contribute to annual business strategy planning and deliver updates to the board of directors and investment committee on a quarterly basis.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate valuation or development role.
- A degree in Property Economics (preferred).
- Strong financial acumen, with proficiency in financial analysis, investment modeling, and valuation analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Windows Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
- Proven experience in new business development and client assessment.
- Strong research and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Conflict resolution skills and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
