Associate Director - Life Insurance Consulting

As an Associate Director your focus will be on conducting business development as well as working as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects such as financial modelling, mergers, and acquisitions for Life Insurance firms. Leverage off our technical and practical insurance experience to bring business solutions to clients.To build and develop a market profile as the go to representative for Life Actuarial in Australia.Work with the team in developing go-to-market propositions.Manage work streams within large projects, overseen by senior colleagues with responsibility for communication with clients and the day-to-day running of projects.Work collaboratively on a range of projects / internal responsibilities and manage priorities appropriately.Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of client work.Be involved in a variety of work to ensure a broad skill set (technical, management and client) is maintained and developed.Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on different assignments.Requirements:Proven Life Insurance experience in a consulting firm, financial services organisation, or Life Insurance firmQualified with at least 10 years of experience.Knowledge and familiarity of regulations in AustraliaGood IFRS17 or Financial Reporting knowledgeA track record of performing Life Insurance work as well as the ability to contribute to cross-practice client engagements.Experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget.Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skillsWell-developed verbal communication skillsSelf-starter attitude and the ability to work within ambiguity.Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issuesStrong analytical and creative skillsThe ability to see the “big picture,” leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges.If you are interested, please contact Richard Kirwan on 0418 310 307 or email richard@blackwaterrecruitment.com.au
