How will I help?
You will join the relationship management team within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) division sitting with the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB). As an Associate Relationship Manager you will be aligned to the Consumer and Industrial industry segment (Specifically Consumer)
This role will provide a successful candidate with a great opportunity to work across teams within WIB by embedding yourself in key sales activities and fully understanding and supporting delivery into the end-to-end sales process, this is a unique opportunity to obtain broad knowledge and relationship management skills, working with some of the best people in the industry.
As part of the role, you will gain a deeper understanding of WIB, its customer base and services. Industry alignment will provide greater understanding of specific customer lifecycles, the markets in which they operate and how we position ourselves to be a key banking and risk management partner. Your role will be essential in us striving to deliver into Westpac’s vision to be one of the leading services companies in the world.
You will:
- Assist with delivery of industry strategy through a geographic lens including related research and analysis; and State/Industry deep dive analysis.
- Coordinate the professional delivery of tailored sales financial and transactional solutions, Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Expressions of Interest for customers.
- Support the development of customer relationships and attend customer meeting where appropriate.
- Prepare and coordinate pricing approvals through the use of systems including DPX, Credit Connect and Qlikview systems.
- Preparing revenue reporting, forecasts as well as following up on revenue anomalies within reports with Finance and respective industry or product colleagues.
- Acting as point person in CIB for Lending Service Managers and Client Enquiry Managers (‘CEM’). CEM’s will continue to undertake all service relating activities.

What do I need?
You will ideally have experience working in a credit and/or corporate finance and have experience with stakeholder management and engagement. You will have the ability to read and understand financial analysis and will bring a strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset and will be able to communicate complex ideas and problems clearly and efficiently.
Some further advantageous skills:
- Understanding of the financial services industry, and suitable competitors and customers.
- The ability to think strategically to ensure customer needs are prioritised and delivered professionally.
- Tertiary qualification in Business related discipline (Economics, Accounting, Finance) is highly regarded.
