The Indigo Program is a broad program of work within the AEC translating business vision and strategy into effective enterprise change with a specific emphasis on the modernisation of business capabilities supported by legacy ICT systems. The program has the responsibility of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of ICT solutions through the identification and replacement of legacy components and the reduction of technical duplication, complexity, and inefficiency.
The Assurance Manager, Indigo Program Management Office will undertake a range of activities to support the effective and efficient functioning of the Indigo Program. Providing high level support to the Assistant Commissioner and Directors, this will include the provision of a range of program planning, reporting, governance and assurance activities. This will require preparation and review of high-level documentation, analysis and advice.
The role will work closely with the Indigo and Enterprise Transformation Group leadership teams to ensure that work tasks are of high quality and completed on time. This role will also involve facilitating strategic activities for the Program, requiring engagement with internal stakeholders. The Assurance Manager, Indigo Program Management Office will have excellent relationship management skills, forming and maintaining positive working relationships across the Enterprise Transformation Group and the agency.
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Lead a range of program planning, reporting, and assurance activities, including delivery of high-quality information, analysis and advice in a timely manner to a range of audiences.
- Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to the planning, preparation and co-ordination of policy formulation and/or Program management.
- Lead ongoing continuous improvement activities and champion opportunities to mature program planning, reporting, governance and assurance practice for the Program.
- Review and develop strategies to evolve program assurance in an agile program delivery environment including regularly reviewing Program performance and act on emerging risks and issues.
- Prepare and present a range of high quality and precise communication material, including Executive briefings, Committee papers, governance frameworks, and external reporting obligations.
- Build strong and effective relationships with a range of stakeholders with key internal stakeholders, building understanding and commitment to progress work priorities. Liaising with stakeholders from other APS investment program and project teams, and other external bodies to integrate program outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate information to a range of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and experience in managing quality assurance (writing, editing, proof reading) of high volumes of correspondence, briefs and reports.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues to achieve outcomes.
- Analysis and investigative skills, gathering information from a variety of sources, exploring new ideas, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and identifying any critical gaps.
- Experience effectively managing competing priorities and strategic directions, with an ability to remain calm under pressure and respond flexibly to change and uncertainty.
- Strategic skills to drive and positively influence team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to make sensitive and complex decisions using professional judgement within legislative parameters and delegated authority.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
- Experience working in, managing or co-ordinating projects or programs, preferably using an Agile methodology.
