We are a family in Chadstone and seeking a fun and caring nanny to care for our children, daughter aged 3.5 years and son aged almost 2, at least two days per week (Thursday and Friday and one other) but likely 3. Both parents work full time so would love someone who loves spending time with the kids but also happy to help us out a little to keep the house running smoothly!The children can be delightful company and get along very well (aside from the usual sibling banter!). We do have pets but do not expect any pet care. We have recently moved to a new house so plenty of space and parks nearby. Really just after someone who is reliable, loves engaging and playing with the children and can help keep the house running and the kids organised on the day that they are here.The kids currently have care so some flexibility on start dates but would love to confirm the new carer for our family soon. Happy to discuss hourly rate, our previous nannies have charged between $25-$28 per hour but willing to discuss what is required for the right person for our family.If this sounds like we may be a good fit for you please reach out and we can discuss further. We are also open to a live-in / Au Pair for 3-4 days per week if this is of interest as well.
Your Duties
Ensure the children are kept engaged, play and activities at home, be able to settle toddler for midday nap, take them to the nearby playground, prepare their lunch and dinner, ensure the house is tidy at the end of the day. We appreciate there cannot be enourmous amounts of time to help with extra duties around the house but so long as it is in order when we return from work that is sanity saving for us! The key thing will be the relationships built with the children and enjoying spending time with them. Our daughter does attend kinder two days a week and help with pick up and drop off would be great but also no expected, will depend on the carer and is to be discussed.
Our Perfect Caregiver
Someone who loves engaging and playing with the children but also happy to do the same household things we would do if we were home with them (keep the place tidy, dishwasher, fold washing, pack away toys and crafts at the end of the day). We do not expect pet care but someone who loves animals will help as they are always here!
