Job description

Mamamia is on the lookout for an Audio Producer to join our best-in-class Podcast team.

But first, here's a bit about us.

Mamamia is Australia's largest women's company.

Our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. That's what guides everything we do. And, uh, we do a lot. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world.

What we're looking for.

In this role, you will oversee the technical aspects of our podcasts, with a primary focus on editing, sourcing captivating audio clips, enhancing audio quality, and expertly mixing the final productions. Additionally, you may occasionally handle remote recording sessions. Your key responsibility will be crafting polished, broadcast-ready content by assembling raw recordings into compelling finished products for distribution.

Now, a bit about you.

We're in search of a dynamic Audio Producer who possesses a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the audio industry. While a background in sound design or sound engineering is highly preferred, what truly sets our ideal candidate apart is their ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with ease. Proficiency in industry-standard software like Adobe Audition and Pro Tools is a must, ensuring that you can expertly shape and enhance audio content.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the audio industry
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, sound design or sound engineering preferred
  • Experience working in a metro Breakfast or Drive radio market preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Audition and Pro Tools
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic team player
  • Strategic and creative thinker with strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to accept feedback and apply in a timely manner

Life at Mamamia.

We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative. Mamamia feels small enough that you can create real and tangible change, but has the structure to support your ideas with experienced and industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month.

We have a start-up spirit within a scaled-up business structure and we're incredibly proud of the culture and community we've created. Our team is inclusive, passionate, and fun (..although apparently, not very modest about it); many lifelong friendships and connections have been forged in Mamamia HQ.

But enough about us, let's talk about how we can help you. At Mamamia, we want to support all of our staff in kicking as many career goals as possible so that's why we'll support you in getting involved in the things you're actually interested in. Think you might want to broaden your scope? Get exposure to another team in the business? Try something new and develop your skills? We'll help you make it happen and cheer you on the whole way.

On top of all that, Mamamia also offers:

  • Flexible working conditions
  • Celebrate your birthday and ongoing dedication with additional leave days
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid volunteer leave to get involved with our charity partners
  • The opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company and help us make the world a better place for women and girls.

One more thing!

Mamamia is an equal opportunity employer, all applicants will be considered regardless of your race, sexuality, religion, colour, gender identity, or parental status. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply. If you require any assistance, including a workplace adjustment to participate in the recruitment process please reach out to **@mamamia.com.au.
