Audit, Risk & Assurance Manager

Your new role

Randstad is working with a well known State Government organisation to recruit Enterprise Risk & Assurance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically lead the design and oversee the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework to manage risks and provide clarity
• Provide strategic, specialist advice to the Executive and Board in the area of risk governance, compliance and risk management
• Develop and implement risk strategy, identify new and emerging risks
• Ensure the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework function
• is proportionate to the scale and complexity of the activities undertaken
• Ensure risk management is part of corporate planning and reporting processes
• Provide ongoing management and review of highly effective risk management tools
• Lead and innovate assurance activities associated with the effectiveness of risk controls including development of an internal audit plan

Skills required:

Completion of a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant

experience or an equivalent combination of training and high level relevant experience in an

accounting, risk management/assurance or audit related field.

• Advanced contemporary knowledge and senior management experience in the areas of risk management and financial compliance
• High level strategic thinking and decision making skills to enable the identification of key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long-range organisational goals
• Significant experience integrating organisational risk and audit activities
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance programs
• Experienced in leading and managing a team of professionals to achieve organisational goals
• Experienced in working with and reporting to Audit and Risk Committee
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
• Exceptional verbal communication skills
• Must have x3 Covid vaccinations

• Full time role, 38 hours per week
• Hybrid arrangement, 2 days from home
