Your Role
- Review surgical schedules and patient charts
- Sterilize instruments and set up surgical tables with the required equipment and drapes
- Familiarize with the specific procedure and arranging instruments in the order likely to be used
- Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Adhere to strict aseptic technique throughout the procedure to prevent infections
- Respond quickly and precisely to the surgeon's requests
- Ensure proper decontamination and preparation for future use
- Record details of procedure
- Help move the patient safely out of the operating room
- Replenish used materials for next surgery
What We Are Looking For
We encourage nurses with the following criteria to apply:
- Demonstrated passion for patients and nursing.
- Proven experience as a Scrub Nurse
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance.
- Good understanding of relevant surgical instruments and procedures.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility across all rostered theatre sessions
