About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Lead and coordinate all civil construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Manage and mentor a team of workers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute construction activities effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections and site assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Proactively identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the construction process, ensuring smooth project progress.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to project progress and team performance.
- Optimise resource allocation, including equipment and materials, to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor in earthworks, stormwater, pavement preparation and detailed excavation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction methods, practices, and equipment.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- A strong commitment to enforcing safety guidelines on-site and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and the flexibility to travel to various project sites in Sydney.
