The Design Revitalisation Project within the department is seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer to take ownership of identifying the automation scope for functional, regression and performance testing, building the test frameworks and test suite.
The Automation Test Engineer will be dedicated to the Design Revitalisation project initially and will be assigned tasks and priorities within an agile framework. They may be reassigned to other projects or BAU tasks due to changes in project scope.
The Automation Test Engineer will be supported and guided by Automation Test Leads, who will assist with functional and performance automation estimation, structure and execution.
Create test data to support a high-quality testing environment for the Design Revitalisation Project.
Report on the automation results with appropriate details and defects identified.
Support the agile project to deliver the automation scripts on time for the releases based on defined scope and report to the project lead on status and updates.
Enhance and improve the current Automated framework.
Contribute to training of other testers, project members, and relevant staff.
As an Automation Test Engineer in the Design Revitalisation Project, you will work with;
- Jenkins Pipelines especially in relation to integrating in release processes.
- Selenium/Java and Serenity BDD.
- Multiple database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle).
- REST APIs using Java based API Testing Frameworks like RestAssurred.
- Recent demonstrated experience to a high degree in undertaking Automation testing activities in a complex IT environment, with a minimum of 5 years relevant Automated Testing experience and 1 year of performance testing experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks for both functional and performance testing. Including experience testing REST APIs using Java based API Testing Frameworks like RestAssurred.
- Demonstrate current experience in Selenium, Jenkins, Github, Java development, and preferably Serenity BDD. Experience with Jenkins Pipelines especially in relation to integrating in release processes.
- Experience in automating API tests. Experience working with multiple database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle).
- Possess very good oral and written communication skills, including sound liaison skills and the ability to contribute to training of other testers and relevant staff.
