Are you ready to take the next step in your engineering career? Our client who is a leading global manufacturer that specialise in supplying materials to the construction Industry on an international scale is seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join their team!

In this role you will be continuous supported by your leadership group and your peers and focus on the development of PLC systems. You will be given career progressional opportunities with longterm career goals.

As this role is within a manufacturing company, you are required to work 5 days a week in the office to ensure you are able to work with engineers and trades to develop and maintain equipment when and where required. No 2 days will look the same with your envolement in product design, assembly and maintenance. There is also flexibility around start and finish times and other added incentives these are the main factors to consider for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
• Design and program PLC systems to optimize production efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues.
• Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to automation systems.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in Automation Engineering, with a focus on PLC programming.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
