As an Automation Engineer/LabVIEW Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and validating automation systems crucial to their manufacturing processes. Leveraging your expertise in LabVIEW, you will create software for control, data acquisition, and instrument communication. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of software solutions at their pilot line, prior to mass production.
Note: This position is open to both full-time permanent employees and contractors. The role is only open for Sydney-based candidates or those willing to relocate to Sydney.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation systems using LabVIEW for control, data acquisition, and instrument communication.
- Validate software at the pilot line before deployment to mass production partners.
- Write and maintain LabVIEW code for automated test systems, instrumentation control, and data analysis.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for LabVIEW code, system architecture, and testing procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in automation engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in developing automation systems using LabVIEW.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, or Python is highly desirable.
- Experience with software validation and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
