Job description

Advanced Robotics Engineering is a small, family operated Robotics and Automation Company based in Pakenham, Victoria. You will be an integral part of the robotics and automation team, ensuring that we provide excellent service to a wide variety of industries and equipment. The position is a great learning opportunity and a career prospect for the right candidate.

The role is very hands on and requires hard work and dedication. As a Service Technician you will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of robotics & automation equipment. This is an exciting role and on the job training will be provided with the potential for the right person to learn all aspects in the service of automated systems.

Role Responsibilities;

  • Servicing of many type of Automated equipment including industrial robots.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Field connection of electrical control systems.
  • Installation, commissioning, assembly, and modification of equipment.
  • Switchboard & Power board knowledge.
  • On-site installation and commissioning.   
  • Use of hand tools, grinding, drilling holes etc.
  • Production of on-site paper work including Service Reports, JSA documentation, Reports to customers regarding rectification of problems.
  • Promoting of the Service Department.
  • Assembly and installation of robotic equipment.

Role Requirements;

  • Ability to read electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical control systems.
  • Knowledge of switch-gear & power distribution
  • Have a restricted electrical Work Licence (S permit)
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Fluent in the use of documentation software.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to understand & follow instructions
  • Reliable, honest & hardworking
  • Able to work as part of a team and also autonomously
  • Drives Licence and own reliable transport
  • Required PPE - Steel Cap Boots, High Visibility shirt
  • Travel all over Australia as Required.

Please note if you do not have all of the above skills some training will be given.

Advantages;

  • Prior experience servicing, breakdown maintenance and assembling of machines and equipment.
  • PLC and Control System experience an Advantage
  • Forklift License
  • Working at Heights Permit
