About the role:
This is a unique 12-month fixed term contract for an experienced Automation Test Analyst responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for Business Regression Testing (BRT) and Production Verification Testing (PVT). This individual will play a key role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our software applications as they evolve through various releases and updates.
The Automation Test Analyst co-ordinates with Test Lead/Manager for the automation activities required to support BRT within a Tribe/project/program. In addition, the role is responsible for maintaining the Business Regression and Production verification Automation Test suite to support BAU release requests by using Jenkins continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
This role will also be required to build test automation capability among other Testing Chapter team members and upskill team members.
This is a fantastic hands-on opportunity to really showcase your end-to-end Automation Testing skills in a critically important role to ensure any changes do not impact the business.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for end-to-end business regression testing and production verification testing to ensure the integrity and functionality of critical business processes.
- Collaborate with business Test Analysts, test manager, product owner, and development teams to understand business requirements and design comprehensive business regression test suites
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business scenarios for regression testing and production verification testing
- Configure and integrate automated tests into the Jenkins CI/CD pipeline to ensure that tests are executed automatically as part of the software delivery process.
- Conduct workshops and provide hands-on guidance to Test team members to enhance their automation skills.
- Minimum 5 years Test Automation experience in UI, Mobile and Mainframe testing is ESSENTIAL
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level Certification (CTFL)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks to support automaton for web application, mobile application, mainframe application and BDD.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing and tracking changes to test scripts and test assets.
- Proficiency in testing APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or tools integrated with programming languages.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI).
