- Works under the direct supervision of the designated senior staff member.
- Promotes a continuous quality improvement approach to all aspects of the job.
Main Tasks:
- Using computers to help diagnose and test parts.
- Taking apart engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts to inspect and test them.
- Identifying and fixing problems with engines and parts.
- Fixing or replacing damaged or worn-out parts and putting mechanical components back together.
- Carrying out routine maintenance like oil changes, lubrications, tire rotation, and engine tune-ups to keep vehicles running smoothly and meet emission standards.
- Checking and fine-tuning mechanical parts after repairs to ensure they work correctly.
- Inspecting vehicles for safety and issuing certificates of roadworthiness, or listing necessary repairs for compliance.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to work as a positive and productive team member.
- Willingness to work within the philosophy of VEHICLE HEROES PTY LTD.
- 3 years of relevant experience and/or qualification as a Automotive Mechanic
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement principles.
