About the role

Reporting into the Autonomous Haulage Project Manager, the Autonomy Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the management of our technology vendors development and testing program of works. You will support the operation of this communications infrastructure and manage the design, development, deployment, and operation of the MinRes provided communication network for each time the Autonomous Long Combination Vehicles (ALCV) solution is deployed.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Automation and communication systems and their maintenance requirements
• Ensuring Haulage Operations has visibility of the Status of Autonomy communication infrastructure installation, commissioning, operational readiness, and reliability
• Monitoring and reporting on reliability and performance of onboard Automation communications systems with MRL communication network infrastructure
• Analyse operational data and metrics to identify operational process improvements that can lead to increased safety and reduced costs and work with operations teams to trial and implement new processes

What you’ll bring to the team

• Degree in engineering
• Cert III in Project management
• Demonstrated experience in working in a network deployment project support role involving identifying constraints and addressing these with operational technology and/or business process changes.
• Knowledge of or an understanding of Safe operation of Autonomous mobile equipment and associated fleet management systems in mining in Western Australia is preferred.
• Experience with deployment of Cisco network systems including Meraki solution is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Automation and communication systems and their maintenance requirements
