Reporting to the Autonomous Training Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge training plans, developing Autonomous Systems material, and coaching operators across our sites, all in line with our Autonomy Governance System. This exciting role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with our current and future sites and collaborate closely with our OEMs. The successful candidate will embrace the chance to travel to various sites, supporting key projects and customer requirements, and make a significant impact on the future of autonomy in the industry.Additionally, you will:Provide guidance to regional Training Coordinators to include Autonomous Competencies Carry out coaching and mentoring of Autonomous Operators.Review current and emerging training practices of delivery and assessment process across Thiess and make recommendations for improvement where needed.Assist with internal projects in learning and development needs in line with Autonomous Operations and Maintenance Training requirements.Collaborate with OME's and internal stakeholders to develop training material and assessments in accordance with the Autonomy Governance System and Autonomy Systems.Actively participate in curriculum review and design.Review training material, track and implement improvements.Optimise performance of Automation within the business.About youYou will maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Maintaining a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will contribute significantly to the overall success of Thiess operations, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.Additionally, you have:
- Ability to mentor and coach learners with varying levels of experience
- Certificate in Training (Cert IV TAE) - Preferred or part there of.
- Certificate III Surface Extraction Operations or equivalent - Preferred but not essential
- Experience using MineStar Command Systems
- Open Cut mining experience
- Experience in delivering training too small and large groups
- Experience in designing technical training packages for Autonomous Mining
- Hands on practical experience in Remote Controls, Semi-Autonomous Operations, Network Control, Control Room Operations
- Trade/Craft experience in Training and Assessment Tasks on a Mine site
