Our client is an exciting manufacturing/infrastructure organisation, seeking a Procurement Specialist. This role is focusing on enhancing market engagement and effective subcontract management to support business growth.Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to grasp business needs and aid in developing procurement strategies.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of work packages to meet program milestones.
- Conduct market research and engagement activities to identify and select suitable subcontractors.
- Collaborate with both multinational and local suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Negotiate subcontract agreements, including drafting and reviewing contract terms and conditions.
- Oversee contract management activities throughout the program duration.
- Collaborate with Functional, Technical, Commercial, and Legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory trade control (export-import) requirements in supplier activities.
- Manage contract performance through established supplier relationship management frameworks.
- Track and report subcontractor performance in terms of cost, schedule, and status, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- 1-3 years of experience in pre and post-award subcontract management within a project environment.
- A tertiary education in Commerce, Law, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency with standard business tools and systems.
- A proactive approach to working with suppliers and discovering new opportunities and relationships.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- The capability to work independently, managing projects and opportunities from inception to completion.
