SGS is in search of a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Aviation Advisor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for offering expert advice on aviation-related matters, conducting safety audits, overseeing aviation projects, and serving as a direct liaison to client representatives. Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Aviation Audits and Safety Assessment: Plan and conduct aviation audits and assess operator safety for SGS Aviation clients.
- Project Management: Manage aviation projects for clients, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Technical and Commercial Advice: Provide comprehensive technical and commercial aviation advice to clients.
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with the Regional Manager on the strategic direction of the business and to provide technical support to the Regional Manager as needed.
- Audit and Project Planning: Assist in audit and project planning for the region of operation when required.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed written audit and project reports with recommendations for the improvement of client aviation activities.
- Issue Resolution: Follow up and close out issues raised during the course of duties.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain professional contacts and effective working relationships with clients.
- Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends and maintain professional qualifications through company training and participation in SGS Aviation seminars.
- Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative duties essential for the efficient conduct of the position.
Qualifications
Profile:
- Hold an Airline transport pilot license or flight engineer license or Aircraft maintenance engineer qualifications.
- 15 years of experience in the aviation industry.
- Successful completion of a quality/safety (ISO approved) lead auditor course.
- A solid understanding of CASA and ICAO regulations.
- Experience in auditing aircraft operators (fixed or rotary wing), and inspecting aerodromes and offshore helidecks.
- Advisors will on occasions be travelling offshore so a valid BOSIET training certificate will be required.
- Holding BARS auditor qualifications/accreditation will be highly regarded.
- Availability for frequent travel required.
