The Data Architect will be responsible for overseeing the configuration, development and delivery of a data catalogue platform. The Azure Data Architect would be responsible for the complete delivery of solutions, as well as clarifying and delivering business use cases for the catalogue, managing them from initial definition to final implementation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintaining high quality functional and technical specifications and documentation reflecting what is to be/has been built.
- Modelling data and undertaking functional requirements mapping.
- Creating data integration processes optimized for performance and maintaining Data Architecture standards across all of the business’s databases.
- Creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Owning solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Strong Data Architect experience in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge and experience of data modelling and IT systems implementation.
- Deep understanding of various Azure Data Platform components, specifically Azure SQL Databases,
- Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory
- Strong understanding of the principles of information technology including SQL Databases, Software Development Life Cycle, Agile processes, Web applications and web services.
- A strong understanding of best practice design and definition of data integration processes.
