Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer.
This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 16 months, extending to 30 June 2025, with a further extension term of 12 months, located at our client's work site in ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, or Offsite with flexible working arrangements.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with an existing Baseline clearance.
As the selected candidate, you will:
Define, develop, and document automation technologies to enhance the system's build, test, and deployment capabilities.
Assist application development teams in developing and maintaining DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
Participate in and guide project cloud migration work, supporting and further developing Azure pipelines for the solution platform.
Identify and implement further opportunities for automation within the product development process to improve service delivery.
Maintain version control visibility between production systems and planned deployments.
Maintain visibility of changes across multiple environments and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrate highly effective communication skills, particularly in explaining complex issues and concepts to IT management and senior business stakeholders.
Support development efforts across the project to adhere to change control processes in application development and integration.
To be successful in this role you should have:
Extensive experience in developing automated build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML, ARM Templates, and PowerShell.
Experience in defining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (using Terraform or Bedrock) and incorporating these into automated pipelines.
Experience in developing applications in one or more of Java, Microsoft.net, Oracle-Deployed applications (WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Database, Access Manager, etc.).
Extensive knowledge and experience in configuring, monitoring, and optimizing services for the Microsoft Azure platform.
It is desirable if you have:
Azure DevOps certification and certifications on the Azure platform.
Experience with or knowledge of container management and orchestration tools.
