Job Description
We are seeking applications from B1 and B2 LAMEs with B300 type rating to be based at our Essendon Airport facility in Melbourne VIC.
Reporting to the B300 Senior Base Engineer, this role is a crucial part of a specialised team responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant execution of maintenance tasks in support of our King Air 350ER Special-Mission operation on behalf of the Victorian Government.
You will mainly be working Monday to Friday, but with the requirement for periodic rostering outside of normal office hours, on-call, and occasional requirement to travel for AOG recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Performance and certification of maintenance tasks on company aircraft as directed by the CAMO planning department, ensuring maintenance carried out is completed in accordance with Civil Aviation Regulations, Skytraders approved CAR30 manual suite and aircraft approved data.
- Assessment of Technical Documentation applicability on company aircraft including Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives and providing recommendations for compliance.
- Monitoring deferred defects and the planning of rectification actions on a day-to-day basis.
- Ordering of aircraft parts and consumables required for maintenance tasks.
- Reporting any deficiencies in standards of safety and quality to the Senior Base Engineer and the Safety and Quality Systems Manager, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Supervision and mentoring of AMEs and Apprentices, or contracted personnel as applicable.
- Maintaining license and training qualifications required to hold a company Certification Authorisation.
- Base activities such as stores and GSE maintenance tasks required in support of the ongoing operation.
- Promoting Occupational Health & Safety, DAMP awareness and the Skytraders Safety Management System.
- Other duties as requested by the Senior Base Engineer.
Required Skills and Experience
- CASA B1 or B2 License with Beech B300 Type Rating preferred.
- High level of communication skill and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work proactively within a small team.
- Ability to hold and maintain an ASIC.
- Takes on personal responsibility for meeting objectives and team cohesion.
- Persistent and focused on achieving mission objectives.
