The Council’s Governance Branch is seeking a passionate and skilled Groundsperson Plant Operator to join our Mildura Cemetery Trust team.

Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:
- To ensure that the Cemetery’s daily operations (including grave digging, gardening and maintenance) and general appearance are of the highest quality standard to meet the community’s expectations.
- All works are to be conducted in accordance with the trust Grave Digging and Gardening Procedures Training Manuals (“Trust Manuals”) and Trust policies.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Current Drivers Licence with a medium rigid vehicle endorsement or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
- A certificate of competency for excavator and front-end loader or willing to obtain.
- Basic understanding of horticultural practices.
- A working knowledge of cemetery operations would be desirable
- A current and satisfactory Police Check or ability to obtain
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 3 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $63,885 to $67,907 per annum inclusive of industry and maintenance allowance, plus statutory superannuation.
