We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our client's team as a Backend Tech Lead. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the technical direction of our projects, supporting our talented engineers, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities: * Career Development: Lead and support a small to medium-sized engineering team, focusing on individual career development and growth. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill enhancement.
- Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to engineers within the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects. Troubleshoot technical challenges, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members to enhance overall technical proficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with product and organizational objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver key results. Act as a bridge between engineering and other departments, fostering a collaborative and cohesive working environment.
- Roadmap Definition: Define a long-term technical roadmap for the team, outlining strategic initiatives and guiding the evolution of our backend systems. Collaborate with product managers to ensure alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Technical Decision-Making: Contribute to technical decisions on projects, working closely with product teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals. Participate in architecture discussions, evaluate technology stacks, and make informed decisions that drive project success.
- Code Quality and Best Practices: Enforce and advocate for coding standards, best practices, and ensure the implementation of robust and scalable solutions. Champion a culture of code quality, security, and maintainability within the engineering team.
- Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Drive innovation within the team, exploring new tools and methodologies to enhance our systems and processes.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in managing or tech-leading a software engineering team; more than 5+ years of large-scale backend system development experience.
- Strong expertise in Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
- Native in any of this following programming languages: Java, C++, Python, Golang or PHP
