Join a team of talented bakers and pastry chefs in a growing wholesale production business located in a new factory. We are the supplier of choice for many well known hospitality sites, event venues, caterers and supermarkets.
This full time role will suit a baker with hands on experience in baking cakes and pastries (no bread baking) in a fast paced high volume production environment. This role provides an ideal lifestyle working from Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm.
The role includes the following responsibilities and tasks:
- baking a range of mud cakes, sponge cakes, cheesecakes, muffins, sweet breads and cupcakes.
- weighing and mixing ingredients.
- using industrial deck and rack ovens, mixers and depositors.
- forming, loading and baking products in batches.
- monitoring and maintaining stock levels.
- monitoring and controlling baking times, temperatures and product quality.
- general cleaning of work space and equipment.
You must be reliable, able to work quickly under time pressure, follow instructions, communicate well and work as part of a team.
