We are looking for a passionate , motivated Baker/Pastry chef to join our team at Maison Clement. a French bistro bouillon in Adelaide CBD
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, creation, and execution of all dishes
- In Charge of pastry/Bread and patisserie daily production
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Monitor inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper stock rotation
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Innovate and contribute to the development of new menu items and concepts
Requirements to Apply:
- Proven experience as a Baker or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Extensive culinary knowledge and creativity, with a passion for staying up-to-date with culinary trends
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire a team
- Organisation and time management skills to meet the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work flexible schedules, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in French Food
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery/ or Bakng and at least 2 years as Baker; 3 years of relevant experience may be acceptable if without formal qualification
- Proven track record of success in a leadership role within a restaurant environment
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly on your feet
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and a passion for culinary excellence
