Now in our 30th year Creative Crusts are Brisbane's premium supplier of wholesale bread, cakes and pastry and we are looking for a Pastrycook - Pastry Chef - Baker to join our team.
The successful applicant will be able to work hands on at our well equipped production kitchen producing a range of cakes, sweet pastries, Croissant, Danish, Special Occasion Cakes, gourmet pies, sausage rolls, and pasties.
Weekend work is a requirement of this position but there is flexibility as to which day.
The ability to work with, and train apprentices is critical to this role. Training with the existing team will be provided to help bring the successful candidate up to speed on the position requirements.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a knowledge and experience of pastry and Cake making, temperature control, food hygiene, pastry lamination, and baking processes. Stock control and ordering may also be a responsibility of this role. It is critical that applicants show a value of the above and be able to teach, and monitor the training of such with our apprentices.
We supply our own award winning retail stores (Uncle Bobs Bakery) as well as many of Brisbane best restaurants, deli's, and cafe's, with a wide variety of high quality cakes, pies, and pastries.
The ideal candidate for this position would be someone looking for a long term secure position, and has pride and passion for producing consistent quality cakes and pastry, and can show through either demonstration or photos their abilities to meet our requirements.
