The Bakeologists - EXPERIENCED BAKER REQUIRED – CASUAL 40 HOURS DURING PROBATION PERIOD TO FULL TIME FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL PROBATION PERIOD
We're a successful inner city wholesale bakery which has been operating for the last 15 years. We offer a very positive and stable workplace, one where you can work to achieve your personal goals while helping us achieve our business goals.
As a boutique supplier to both a loyal list of clients and our own retail shops. They both demand consistent quality and service, it is therefore up to us to deliver them the standards THEY expect.
We trade 7 days/ week, closed public holidays, our bakers work mostly during the day or evening starts, mostly finished by 11pm. We’ve a great team and an awesome NEW production facility, fully airconed, with all the equipment you need to get the job done.
We produce everything from white block loaves to sourdoughs and handmade croissants. Everything is made from scratch and alot of doughs are shaped by hand.
This new position has been created to compliment our current team of 8 bakers & apprentices to assist them in achieving our expected growth and increase in production over the next few months.
As one of our 8 bakers, you will be a senior member of our team and we expect you to support our bakery manger and assist across all departments of our manufacturing business, which includes breads (both dough and oven work), savoury pastries and our sweet pastries (croissant, danish, puff etc).
Our team rarely do more than their 5 days a week and overtime is limited, and pay rates are really good, OT worked is paid (as it should be!)
we're looking for an enthusiastic tradesperson who is committed to their trade. Someone that brings with them real baking knowledge and experience but is also willing to be flexible enough to follow us and our production methods.
