Irrewarra Sourdough is a dynamic and successful artisan food manufacturer. Located 45 minutes west of Geelong in the countryside of Irrewarra (near Colac) in a new production facility, Irrewarra produces market leading sourdough bread, granola and biscuits. The business supplies fresh food stores, gourmet food outlets, independent supermarkets, Coles and Woolworths.
Irrewarra Sourdough is looking for employees to fill casual Bakery Assistant positions at our production facility at Irrewarra.

Bakery Assistant
The position of Bakery Assistant involves assisting in the daily production of sourdough bread, biscuits or breakfast cereal. Tasks involve weighing out, portioning, baking, packaging etc. 8 hour shifts are available across all 7 days of the week up to 5 shifts per week. Some positions are Monday to Friday.
Employment Requirements
The rate of pay for each position will depend on age and experience with bread baking positions having penalty rates apply for afternoon shifts, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. The casual rate of pay* per hour is:
$30 - 33.40 - Monday to Friday
$43.55 - Saturday
$58 - Sunday
A trial shift will be offered to confirm that the applicant is suitable for the position and successful applicants will complete an induction with full training provided by the employer and fully supervised workplace.
A medical assessment prior to employment is mandatory as Bakery Assistants are required to be fit and healthy due to the physical nature of the position. Irrewarra Sourdough will arrange for the medical assessment to take place at a healthcare provider in Colac at no cost to the applicants.
Baking Assistants need to be physically fit, hardworking and dedicated to their job, with attention to quality, a strong work ethic and an ability to work according to work policies and procedures.
