Farm Work – Far North Queensland
At Kureen Farming we grow Bananas and Avocado’s in Lakeland.
We require 10 employees with positions starting in or around May 2024. Contract will be for 48 months of work. Work will commence in Lakeland.
We are looking for reliable and loyal staff to be part of our team. No previous experience is required.
Training to increase skills is available for the right applicant.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Banana Picking
• Banana Packing
• Banana Field work (e.g. Bagging, Bell Injecting, Stringing, Deleafing etc.)
• Avocado Picking
• Avocado Pruning
• General Farm Maintenance
• Tractor operations
Employment Details
Wages will be paid under the Horticulture Award 2020, classification: Level 1 Full-time. The current rate is $22.61 per hour. Full-time employee’s are entitled to leave in accordance with the Horticulture award and the National Employment Standards.
Minimum average 38 hours per week with additional hours available. General working hours are between 7.00am and 5.00pm.

• Must be fit and healthy
• Flexible and self-motivated
• Ability to acquire good speed at manual tasks
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability of have attention to detail
