Belt Splicer Supervisor

We are on the search for a highly skilled Lvl 3 Belt Splicer Supervisor to join our BHP Ports Team!  You will work with our close-knit team of skilled services employees and Supervisors that promote a high safety culture, and are willing to go the extra mile for each other and the Company.

We are looking for a Belt Splicing Supervisor who can meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Belt Splicer/technician or team leader ready to take the next step
• Previous experience as a Belt Supervisor will be highly regarded
• Experience working on steel cord, fabric and/or woven belts
• Substantial experience and knowledge in conveyor belt systems & associated components
• People management
• Ability to drive and implement a strong safety culture amongst all teams
• Working at heights, Confined spaces, basic rigging, S26 and MSIC  

Attitude:

• Excellent communication skills, commitment to safety, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to undergo and pass a police check and pre-employment medical
