Merewether Bowling Club is a popular suburban community small venue with approximately 1,200 members. The club facilities include two bowling greens, a busy new restaurant, a modern bar, Keno facility, eight poker machines and two outdoor barbecue areas.
Under a relatively modern thinking Board and experienced Secretary Manager, the club is continually seeking new ways to service our members and the local community. Due to some recent positive changes, the club is now seeking an experienced and committed Bar Supervisor to join our team.
Seeing this role essential to maintaining the quality bar and customer services to our MBC patrons, the successful applicant will be empowered to provide leadership to the existing bar staff team.
This is a part time position (20 hours per week) and will predominately be evening and weekend work. Reporting to the Secretary Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for performing and supervising the following tasks:
- Bar operations
- Gaming operations
- Staff supervision and rostering
- Cash handling and balancing
- Stock and Cellar control
- Monthly report to the Club Board
Applicants should possess the following:
- Current RSA and RCG Certification
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Confidence in managing staff and delegating duties
- Experience with the operation of beer/wine cellars and poker machines
- Knowledge of the SwiftPOS system would be an advantage
- A working knowledge of the Registered Clubs Act
