Sydney’s newest and best Modern Korean restaurant, Funda Sydney, is seeking talented hospitality enthusiasts. Our newly established restaurant is dedicated to creating unique and delightful experiences that balance refinement and relaxation. Funda provides a modern take on traditional Korean cuisine with a Euro twist. We are located in the heart of Circular Quay and are aiming to add a bit of all-day fun to the Sydney dining scene. The group is growing, and we will be adding a fine dining venue Allta to the portfolio next month.
As we have picked up trade, we are looking to add more Venue Supervisors, Bar Supervisors and sommeliers to our talented team to help drive service. Experience is necessary for this position and fine dining is highly considered.
About You
We are currently hiring for all FOH positions: sommelier, supervisors and Bar Supervisors.
Venue Supervisor
- At least 1 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in fine dining highly regarded.
- Experience in maintaining budgets and an understanding of financials, profit & loss and working in line with company objectives and KPI's
- Qualification in hospitality would be an advantage for this role.
- Fair understanding of modern award framework, national employment standards and working knowledge of OH&S/WH&S.
- A passion for the industry.
- Ability to work a rotating 7- day roster including weekends & public holidays.
Bar supervisor - will be reporting to Bar manager
- Contribute to overall venue operations and support management team to effectively operate the venue.
- Foster excellent guest experience and exlporing innovative ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to effective stock management processes including ordering recieving, cellar mangement and roatations.
- Drive staff training, ensuring all team members possess exceptional product knowledge.
- Uphold a safe work environment within the bar, adehering to legal and compliance requirements.
- Assist the Bar Manager in menu development and help take creative lead in bar programs.
Sommelier - will be reporting to the group sommelier
- Previous experience as a sommelier in a restaurant setting.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to understand and work with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of beverage operations, including menu engineering, inventory control, and cost management.
- Certified CMS / WSET Diploma.
- Ability to train, develop, and motivate restaurant staff to ensure they are confident about the beverage program.
- Be able to create and maintain supplier relationships to keep up with changing trends.
