Our Beaudesert Transport Program is recruiting for a casual Support Worker/Transport Driver to join their team as required throughout the week. The Beaudesert Transport team provides community transport to people living in the community enabling vulnerable and isolated Queenslanders to connect to and access vital services. The successful candidate will be working within a small team.
In this role you will:
- Operate vehicles capable of seating up to 11 passengers
- Transport clients in wheel chairs
- Transport clients in the Beaudesert region as well as to appointments in Brisbane
- Assist with loading and unloading clients and assistance aids
- Maintain vehicles, including washing and vacuuming
- Undertake day to day administrative duties
- A current ‘C’ class drivers licence (LR an advantage)
- Be able to obtain an RDA or hold a Driver Authority – not essential.
- Knowledge of Accredited Transport operations
- Certificate III Individual Support/Aged Care/Disability (highly regarded)
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to liaise effectively with others
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet schedules
- The physical ability to carry out all tasks required of this position
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- A National Criminal History (Police) check
- A 'Blue' Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ( or current 'Yellow' Card)
- Eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Certificate of completion of the “NDIS Worker Orientation Module"
