Our Organisation

The Benevolent Society’s vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life. For more than 200 years we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers and people with disability. We are an independent, non-religious service provider which supports people to live life their way.

As part of The Benevolent Society's vision, we are strongly committed to reconciliation with our First Nations people of Australia. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Expect a diverse caseload with various intellectual and psychosocial diagnoses. Demonstrated experience in identifying restrictive practices and their fading out.

But wait, there's more! Get ready for weekly or fortnightly check-ins with our Senior Practitioners, monthly hangouts with your superhero colleagues, and continuous support from our Allied Health heroes and your Team Leader. We're like a family, but with capes!

Duties

  • Develop Super Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Liaise with everyone from clients to government departments – we're the communicators of the superhero world!
  • Provide superhero-level behavioural interventions in group and individual settings

  • Follow NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements like a superhero code
