About the role:
- The Behaviour Support Practitioner opportunity has arisen due to the continued growth of their Western Melbourne team. The role will consist of you working with a diverse caseload of clients within the community.
- This community-based opportunity will include working across diverse environments such as homes, schools, workplaces, and community centres.
- You will provide high quality and passion driven service to individuals who require additional behavioural support.
- You will facilitate the enhancement of quality of life for individuals with disabilities by breaking down barriers and ensuring optimal outcomes.
- The role will require a driven and attentive Behaviour Specialist with the desire to support individuals with complex needs.
- This position will allow you to utilise your nursing background to develop and implement tailored behavior support plans for participants.
- You will be required to employ assessment and intervention skills to support individuals in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding impact.
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Assisting individuals in refining social skills and developing strategies to navigate their everyday surroundings.
What's required:
- Registered Nurses with relevant qualifications and experience, possessing AHPRA registration.
- Working with Children's Check - 6 months validity
- National Police Check - 6 months validity
Be considered eligible, or willing to acquire eligibility, as a Behaviour Support Practitioner as per the standards set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. - NDIS Experience desired but not an essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Current NSW driver's license and own vehicle - desirable
